Dana Goodwin of Lawrenceville, Ill. has been named the new volleyball coach at Lincoln Trail College.
“I’m absolutely ecstatic about this opportunity,” says Goodwin.
Goodwin started playing volleyball when she was in sixth grade and earned a scholarship to play volleyball at McKendree University. In the junior high and high school levels, she played as a middle hitter and became an outside hitter in college.
While in college, Goodwin begin her coaching career with a club team in Highland. For the last three years, she has served as the head volleyball coach at Parkview Junior High where she also works as a seventh grade social studies teacher.
“When we compete, I want the girls to give one-hundred percent every game,” says Goodwin. “I will challenge them to give everything they have when we compete.”
