Head Coach
Luke Stuckey

Former Orlando Magic assistant coach Luke Stuckey is now in his 4th season as the head men’s basketball coach at Lincoln Trail College.

 

Stuckey served as the assistant coach for the Magic from 2012 to 2014. While with the Magic, he ran 2013 NBA Draft workouts and advised the General Manager on player performance evaluations. He also served as the top assistant coach for the 2013 NBA Summer League Team. Stuckey’s time with the Magic also included daily skill building sessions with players inclduding Victor Oladipo, E’twaun Moore, Tobias Harris, Glen Davis, Ronnie Price, JJ Redick and Nikola Vucevic.

 

After his time with the Magic, Stuckey served as an assistant coach at Cameron University from 2014 to 2015. He served as the head coach of the Central Florida Marvel professional club in Orlando, Fla in 2015.

 

Stuckey played college basketball at Northland Community & Technical College and Iowa Wesleyan College. He earned a Master of Arts in Education from National University.

Stuckey is married to the former Shana Deleon, and the couple has one daughter, Sydney (2).

Assistant Coach
Spencer Koch

Spencer Koch is in his 4th season as an assistant coach with the Statesmen. He is a 2016 graduate of IUPUI with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in business. He earned a Master's Degree in Athletic Coaching from Ball State University.

 

While in college, Koch worked with Pacers Sports and Entertainment, where he was involved in game operations and promotions with the Indiana Pacers. He also worked in marketing at Indiana University Athletics.

 

Koch, a 2012 graduate of Bedford North Lawrence High School, assists head coach Luke Stuckey in all aspects of the Statesmen basketball program, including recruiting, scouting, and skill development.

Assistant Coach
Jonathan Finkel

Coach Finkel joins the Lincoln Trail Statesmen men’s basketball team as a second-year assistant coach out of Salem University, where he received his Master’s of Business Administration in Sport and Recreation Management and was a graduate assistant for their men’s basketball team. He received his undergraduate degree from Temple University, with a bachelor of science in Sport and Recreation Management.

 

While at Salem University, Finkel helped schedule, plan, and coordinate team travel. He helped with men’s basketball players’ development. He also assisted with academics among basketball student athletes.


At Temple University, Finkel worked as the basketball team's student manager, interacting with recruits and their families and handling their social media accounts. He also worked as a football recruiting worker, assisting in daily recruiting operations, interacting with recruits and their families, as well as assisting with the Matt Rhule Summer Football Camps. 

Finkel also interned at Philadelphia University, now known as Jefferson University, assisting with recruiting, maintaining statistics and gameday operations. Prior to joining Salem, he worked with Hoop Group as an elite camp runner, handling camp logistics and assisting coaches at the camp. He has worked numerous Division I basketball camps, including Marquette University, University of South Carolina, Virginia Tech University, University of Dayton, Creighton University, and University of Pennsylvania.

Student Assistant 

Coleton Adams

Coleton Adams comes to Lincoln Trail from Vincennes, IN. Adams was the student manager for the boys basketball team at Vincennes Rivet High School for 3 years. He majors in the Sports Management program at Lincoln Trail. Adams assists the men's basketball program in various areas. 

Strength Coach

Tim Gallion

Tim Gallion is in his 2nd season as the Strength and Conditioning coach for the Statesmen Men’s Basketball program. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, CSCS, through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Gallion has spent many years helping athletes and general population improve their health and fitness, including a year assisting the strength program at the University of Louisville where he earned his undergraduate degree in Health and Human Performance.

 

Gallion has worked previously as a coach at CrossFit St. Louis, and as an exercise specialist at Crawford Memorial Hospital. In addition, he has been the 6th grade boy’s basketball coach in Robinson the past 3 seasons, and head boy’s basketball coach at Collinsville Christian Academy prior to moving back to Robinson. He is currently teaching Physical Education at Hutsonville Elementary.

 

Gallion lives in Robinson with his wife, Tara, and their three daughters.
